Just for a short little sing-trip. which is what I call it when you go with your choir to go sing at some music conference (etc.) for just a few days. Not a vacation, but something you can put on your musical resume.
I don’t actually know what this conference is for, I was looking for it online and couldn’t really figure it out.
At first I was really excited about singing on a new travel-project with a smaller ensemble (24 singers), but then it turns out that the airfare and conference fees come out to be $475 per person. so today I told my director I probably couldn’t do it because of the money, and he called me saying that he really needed me on this project, and that if money was the only issue, not to worry about it and we’ll figure something out.
The music we’re singing is going to be by all gay and lesbian composers, including Joan szymko, steven sametz, and my director Eric.
yay! I feel all important and shit.
