The Chamber Singers group at my school is doing about half of Carlo Gesualdo’s madrigals from books 5 and 6. There are about 15 or so singers in the group and we all have to pick our favorite text on just the poetry alone, not the music. So we’re gong to do everyone’s favorite madrigal and at the concert each person has to recite the poetic translation of the one they picked.

The first few seasons of Doctor Who are absolutely ridiculous. I remember one episode when the camera is on William Hartnell and he says “but will they give me back my ship?” and the camera zooms in really quickly and the music actually does the bum-bum-baaaaah! noise of terror. which was quite hilarious.
